These bags are nicely made with strong plastic. But, I bought these to store blankets, winter clothes, etc. in the basement. I didn't realize that these would not be waterproof, bug proof or dust proof. I cannot imagine why they thought it would be a good idea to have a mesh strip along the sides near the top of the tote. The mesh has just about rendered them useless.
