careful:Can Fry Your Electronics
I think the transformer being automatic is it's Achilles heels.
Here is the issue, the transformer takes about a few milliseconds before it starts to convert voltage. When my dad connected the transformer to a 220V power outlet to run a Stanton Turn Table (needs 110V), it fried the turntable. I didn't quite believe it so I experimented a bit . I connected a digital voltmeter (in United States) and switched the transformer on. You could see the voltmeter read 110V for a few milliseconds before it read 220V. I think the transformer lets input 110V/220V go through unconverted briefly, which is enough to fry any electrical/electronic device connected to the transformer.
If you have the transformer, Please ensure that you follow the following steps
1. connect the transformer to the power outlet
2. switch on the transformer
3.wait a couple of seconds, and then connect the electronic/electrical device to the transformer
I think the device works nicely, but it can clearly fry things if you are not watchful.
Unfortunately, I could not return the device (last date 27th July)
