I am not sure about this mat. I purchased this for my grandson's baths. (Baby is 22 months old.) The mat stays in place. However, the baby broke out in a severe rash each time he came to visit. The rash is on the back of his legs and his butt - the areas of his body that touch the mat during bath time. It is possible that there is something in the Gorilla mat that is causing the rash (contact dermatitis).
