I received masks with 3M verifiable codes on box and, indeed, codes on box were verified on 3M website. However, box was not sealed, did not have reflective strip, and bag inside box was not sealed. I think it’s likely that a skilled counterfeiter made masks with the correct lot number and placed them in a legitimate box. Why? Three reasons: 1. The printing on the mask is pale gray instead of true black. 2. The straps are “riveted” to the mask, but the rivets are off-center in relation to the straps, so, half the width of each strap is not riveted as it should be. The 3M website has several close-up photos of the straps/rivets and the masks I purchased from Amazon don’t match the photos. 3. Amazon is not listed on the 3M website as an authorized distributor/retailer. I agree with other reviewers that the straps are paler yellow than I recall 3M straps from the past, but this is subjective. I want to like these — the seal is good. But I wonder about the quality of the material; and whether the straps will break at the worst possible moment. 3M does have a warning on their website about many counterfeit 8210 masks.
