Sadly the only way to figure out you've received the wrong nitro-coated seed is to wait until the plants are well on their way. I ordered 10 lbs of Dutch White Clover and instead now find that I received 10 lbs of hop clover, Trifolium procumbens. A pretty enough plant and growing like crazy but not what I ordered or needed or wanted. In reading through reviews I see that I am not the only one to have this problem. I also wonder how many of the people who say they had terrible germination rates actually had good germination of the wrong seed? Sadly I have now lost an entire year of growth because I'll need to get rid of the hop clover before planting the white I wanted. UPDATE: When I contact the seller OutsidePride about the problem they were quite rude. They denied that anyone had ever received the wrong seed from them - but if you look through their reviews you will see that this is absolutely not true. BUYER BEWARE - if you are one of those who receives the wrong seed in your order from OutsidePride, not only will you be stuck with a garden or lawn full of the wrong plants, the seller will insult you and deny there is a problem. Also by the time your seed grows enough to see that you got the wrong thing and you're dealing with rude people, it will be too late to leave seller feedback. I would have been happy with a simple apology, I didn't even ask for a refund or replacement but OutsidePride was rude to me. I suggest you find a different seller for your seed orders.
