Maybe it was the use of "Society" in the title...
I was excited for this book but then it wasn't what I expected. It didn't have the depth of character, there wasn't a single character that I cared about. (I've read all of Austen's works and I've taken several courses about her.) I was thinking this would be more like The Guensey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society but it wasn't as interesting. I'm really disappointed and I wouldn't recommend it.
