I expect cozy mysteries are exempt from standards, but still, this was about ten percent useless dog description, sixty percent what she ate, what she wore, what someone else ate and wore, twenty percent other information that wasn't even tangential to the plot, what does that leave? Another ten percent seven of which were red herrings, leaving three percent of plot. Who can be bothered?
