I have never known what to include in the section of my university's textbook order form called "other required materials." Now I know: I can require my female students to buy gender-appropriate pens. Given the growing diversity of our university student body, I will also need pens for my students who are transitioning. Probably this will require different pens for male-to-female and female-to-male. I am sure BIC is up to the challenge.
