UPDATE: After using the product for a few months, it became faulty. The wire shows it's looped, but on 40 acres only about half the (upgraded) wire actually works. We're going to run new wire, 16 or 12 gauge and shorten the perimeter but I wouldn't trust this product for more that 20-25 acres. We installed this around our 40 acres last month and so far it is working great at keeping our dog contained. While putting the wire into the ground wasn't the most fun I've ever had, having access to heavy equipment and many beers helped. HELPFUL TIP: In order to create a passable boarder from the perimeter to the transmitter, you need to wrap the wires around each other 10-12 times per foot, which for us was about 50 feet. What we did was put the two wires in a drill (where the bit goes) and turned it on. It took less than a minute. They should put this suggestion in the manual.
