Right out of the box, I pressed the button and it said battery lo. It didn't work once. I have had other thermometers that didn't work well or for long. If anyone can recommend a decent, working product, it would be appreciated. Maybe one is not made in China? I bought this when I left the hospital after a readmission, and when I spoke on the phone to the hospital's 24-hour number for my speciality, they asked me to take my temperature and all I had in the house were a couple old thermometers. I figured it was important to have a new, working thermometer, so I could provide accurate information to be advised. Now, there is no way I can determine if my perception of possible fever is accurate or not.
