★☆☆☆☆
Too heavy.
The paperwhite is my first Kindle device. It weighs (according to my kitchen scale) about 208 grams. Which is phenomenal and fantastic. This cover for it, however, adds 133 grams. For me, this is the difference between comfortably holding it and reading while in bed and... not comfortable, aching cramping fingers. So I began using the device without the cover and then putting it in its case only when I want to put it in my purse. This case is not designed for frequently taking the device out and putting it back in; it's a struggle to do so. So I purchased a Amazon Kindle Zip Sleeve, Blue (fits Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle, and Kindle Touch) instead, which allows me to quickly slip out the device. This is not a perfect solution. Obviously I'm more likely to drop the device while handling it, and whenever I am handling it, it is without any protection. It's easy to wander off with the device and leave the case behind. I'll bet it's the magnets that make the case so heavy. I'm really at odds with this design decision. Everything else about this case is very nice, but the weight makes it completely unusable for me. I would really think that being able to use the device to read should score higher than the instant on cool factor.
