★★☆☆☆
The quality was overlooked.
I’m on the fence about this stroller. Part of me loves it and part of me hates it, so I’ll start with what I like about it.
Pros: it really does fold up to the size of a 24 pk of can drinks. So for day trips to the zoo, park, or any kind of air travel, this thing is perfect. Keep in mind, it’s for a short day trip or a visit to the doctor or grocery run! There’s not a lot of storage to hold everything you need for a full day trip to Disney world or a week vacation. I love how it saves space in my trunk.
Cons: the durability is not what I expected, and for the price, it should have fulfilled those expectations. It just seems really flimsy and cheaply made. The handles feel loose and rattles when you navigate. The sun shade tends to open up during high winds and often comes apart. More importantly, If your child tends to lean forward or side to side a lot, the stroller wants to tip over. It’s almost like it needs to have a wider wheel base. With that said, I’m 6’1 and my feet hit the back wheels constantly, so it would have been nice for a adjustable handle to gain some separation. Next, and I’m not sure if it needs more time to get broken in, but the folding process is difficult. Some times it folds/unfolds smoothly, and some times I have to shake it quite vigorously. The hood also pops off quite often during the folding process which is annoying. Lastly, I got the “all terrain” model and there’s not any difference from the Pocket+ model. I’m not sure what makes it a “all terrain” model to be honest. I was really excited about this stroller, but the quality fell short for me. I may have gotten a defective stroller. Who knows? But for the price, and the purpose of transporting precious cargo, the GB pocket+ should have really focused on quality assurance.
