Update: Ring customer service incessantly emails me regarding my overall rating of this product. They want to help me like it. I don't think they really understand what I don't like about it - the lack of features I want. How can they help me add features to this product that it doesn't have? Anyway, they want me to mount the camera under my garage eaves and then tilt it down further closer to my garage. The problem with that is that: 1. My garage barely has any clearance for a small SUV. If a larger SUV or Truck tried to park in the garage with the camera under the eaves, there would not be enough clearance, and the camera and/or vehicle would be damaged. 2. If the camera were positioned the way they want me to position it there is no way it could capture activity on my driveway AND the driveways of the neighbors on either side of me. I bought a second battery (it holds 2 batteries) and a Ring Chime Pro (to extend my wifi) to go with this. This was the easiest thing to set up and install. Great instructions and fast and easy! I have the Ring doorbell in the front, and I put this in the back at my driveway. I attached it to the wall above my garage - see photos. It looks good and works fairly well. The videos are clear. It has no trouble picking up my wifi. The motion zone settings need improvement. Unlike other cameras, it only lets you choose a distance range that goes out in a semi-circle from the camera. I would rather draw my own range. In my situation I would like a rectangle going sideways that ends at the street, but that is not a choice. A problem this cam has is that it will sense motion and miss the initial motion or not record motion right after. What I love about this one is that you don't have to have it on a wired power line. I love how it can be battery powered an solar powered.
