So --- I had the the all aluminum Eley hose reel that is very similar to this one. It was at my old house.... had it for 7+ years.... no issues at all. Then I got divorced and really should have removed it and taken it when the house was sold but I didn't --- MISTAKE! Now new house and time to replace everything.... I read the reviews on this hose reel and figured I would give it a shot and save some money -- MISTAKE. So he are my thoughts having owned both hose reels.... This one is MUCH HEAVIER, made of steel and arrived out of the box with surface rust ALREADY on the reel. (See pics). I figured oh well I'll just paint it and went ahead and mounted it and rolled the hose on. Well the reel wobbles as you wind the hose on.... and lastly there is NO CHANCE this thing holds 150' of hose. In the last pic you can see I have 100' of hose on the reel and it's full. It's not a total piece of crap.... it's way better than the plastic ones HD or Lowes sell, but do yourself a favor and spend the extra $30-40 and get the all aluminum reel by Eley. I would send this back but it's mounted and don't feel like dealing with the hassle..... UPDATE -- (10/14/2017) -- So since I have two hose bibs on the house I installed the ELEY hose reel on the other bib. Well - AGAIN - -can't stress it enough..... The price difference is like $30 between the two - you will REGRET not spending the money and going with the ELEY reel. Again - this is not a horrible reel, but for $30 more you will LOVE LOVE LOVE the ELEY reel.
