Numbers are big enough, and bright. (updated review - not so good)
I needed a new bedroom clock and spent a ridiculous time looking at features. I hadn't bought one in a long time, so I found some new things that I liked. First, the USB for charging my phone. I'm not one of those people who brings a phone to bed every night, but when I'm expecting an important call, I bring it along, and of course those are the times it's not fully charged. So being able to connect the phone to the clock is nice. Having the temperature on the clock is good, but the humidity readout was really the selling point. I get headaches when the humidity drops too low, so being able to see it and set up a room humidifier is a big deal. The numbers are easy to read. The one downside is that when I'm in bed, the angle is bad for reading the numbers unless I sit up or I grab the clock and tilt it down.
I haven't used the alarm function, so I can't say anything about that.
UPDATE: After 8 months of sitting on my headboard and occasionally using it to charge my phone, I had a major glitch. I plugged in the phone as usual and the clock blanked out and came back on again showing 12:00 and Jan 1. No problem, I thought, I'll just reset it.
Unfortunately, the SET button doesn't work. I couldn't get it to set the time on the clock, and it also doesn't have any effect on setting the alarm. The only way to get it to read the correct time was to take out the batteries and unplug the clock, then wait until midnight to plug it back in.
The date is wrong and probably the moon phase, but those aren't really critical. However, if i ever decide I need to set the alarm, I hope I have to get up at 7am, because that's the only choice I have.
EDIT #2: I found an online customer forum and the company responded and we went back and forth on how to reset it. That's not the problem. It resets just fine to Thurs Jan 1, midnight. After a bit of chat, they asked me to send them a copy of a receipt, so I printed out my Amazon order and sent it to them. Seriously, if I had bought this in a store, I wouldn't have had a receipt for it, so bonus points to Amazon for that.
They just got back to me and said that since it was a warehouse deal, it's not under warranty. In a sense, I can understand that, since I wasn't the first owner, but you'd think that a decently-made clock would last longer than 8 months no matter how many people owned it. And the fact that it worked for the first eight months sort of proved that the first owner didn't run it over in his car or drop it into the tub. And it's not like that button could have gone bad because of my mis-use of the product.
Anyway, I'm not all that happy with the clock and less so with customer service.
