My mom ordered this and said great things. It really puts out a lot of visible moisture, it lasts a long time on high, and it's easy to fill! I ordered one for myself about a week after listening to her rave. The day before mine arrived, my mom said hers leaked all over her nightstand. I thought maybe she didn't put it back on properly or something. Mine came, I used it, and it was everything she had said it was... until about 2 weeks after using. About a week in, I noticed a sort of white layer on my nightstand. I wiped it off and moved the humidifier closer to the edge so the vapor wouldn't fall directly on the surface. Perfect fix... The next week, I wake up and my whole nightstand is soaked. I found where the water was coming from and circled it in the photo I provided. It's a tiny hole on the bottom of the base. I really loved this little machine while it worked. It did me wonders when I was sick with a brutal cold. I'm scared to start it up again since it leaked. I'm not looking to ruin my nightstand with water damage. Maybe I got a defective one, but my mom had said hers leaked too - though I'm not sure where hers leaked from.
