Out of the box the frame looked great and was everything we wanted; simple and doesn't look cheap. Its fits the Nectar matress we bought perfectly. Sleeping on it was fine, and its very comfortable however, if you plan on doing "something" in the bed other than sleep, be advised that the metal crossbar and support legs are not very sturdy and the screws were easily bent along with the center bar. I'm definitely not a little guy but I'm not 300 pounds either; neither is my wife. From how sturdy it seemed when putting it together I would have expected it to be able to take a pounding but evidently not.
