A silly teenage dream
The heroine of this book, Beth, moves to Chicago because she's landed her dream job. Almost immediately she meets a rich and handsome man who wants to be her best friend. And she meets a very handsome and talentented man who wants to be her boyfriend. As if that's not enough, she is also the best at her job only two months after she started fresh out of school. Everyone loves Beth and she is the innocent almost-virgin in a world of whores (the author uses the word whore to describe the other women in the hero's life - I found that offensive).
I don't mind unrealistic in my books but this was too much. The heroine was a Mary Sue - a perfect woman who got everything she wanted without really working for it. Yes, there was some drama so the hero could save her again and again but it was equally unrealistic.
At the end her very important job suddenly meant nothing to her and the stuff from her grandmother, that she'd tried to hold on to, was apparently all forgotten because the hero had stored it for a whole year without any reason at all.
The book wasn't particularly well written but it had humor and some entertainment value. If you want a credible romance then this is not the book for you. If you want a teenage dream, then go right ahead.
