Works great but the plastic laminate will peel off over time. I'd say I have had the thermos for about 2 years. But I haven't used it very much. On first blush it looks like the metal has been colorized using a anodization process. But it's lower quality than that. It's just a plastic laminate. And when it starts cracking off it makes a hell of a mess. I've attached a picture showing the damage. Beyond that fatal flaw the container holds heat well as you'd expect. I think the top silver cover can serve as a bowl but it's just easier to eat out of the can itself. The spoon is nice. The width of the mouth is pretty wide but still difficult to spoon food into without spilling along the sides.
