This looked like a great compact charger for AA and AAA batteries, which is all I really use. The product description is misleading, however. It says "you will hear an audible beep at completion." What it doesn't say is that it will be an ongoing audible beep until you unplug it. (To be clear, it does indicate that the beep will be continuous if the batteries are bad, but NOT when good batteries have finished charging. The fact that they spelled it out for one function and left it off of the other is very misleading.) For a charger that takes 4 hours to complete a charge, the chances that I'll be around when it's done are slim. I'm not going to wait around for my batteries to charge - I'm going to put them on and then get on with my life, or go to sleep and charge them overnight, and come back for them when I'm ready. Accordingly, I put my wireless mouse batteries in this morning before heading to work, figuring the auto shut-off would keep them safe until I got home. Well, I got home and opened my door, to realize that the charger had been beeping away for hours to let me - and probably my apartment neighbor! - know that my batteries were charged. I'm sure it did a fine job of charging the batteries (though I don't know how long it actually took), but I'm going to have to return this because I can't run my life around a battery charger I have to babysit.
