I ordered this thermometer after my other temporal thermometer stopped working during a fever virus running through our house. I did extensive research and decided on the Innovo Forehead and Ear Thermometer. I loved the idea of being able to use it via ear and temporal and the reviews were all great. I have three young children, so this seemed like a no brainer from an ease and convenience standpoint. I received the product and within 2 days my third child came down with a fever. He was burning up. I couldn't wait to see how my new thermometer worked. It showed he was running 98.8 degrees. I asked to borrow a neighbor's thermometer, knowing my mommy temperature gauge couldn't be THAT off. Sure enough, he was running almost 103. I was SO disappointed. Within 2 days of that, my grandmother was put on hospice. She deteriorated quickly and I remained by her bedside the entire time. I thought she felt warm and decided to try my new thermometer again. She only registered 98.9 - no fever. The hospice nurse came a little later and when she felt her, exclaimed that she had quite the fever. She took her temperature with hew own temporal thermometer and it read over 102. I took mine out with her standing right there and tried it both ways several times, with it never registering her having any type of fever. I even cleaned it according to the instructions. Needless to say, I am quite disheartened by this. I had just told all my friends about this amazing new thermometer I'd found. I will be returning this and looking for another option. I'm so sad, because I really had high hopes this was such a great device. So disappointed. :(
