Fashion Pro Dealt w/ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE - Consistently Ineffective & Perm Damaged Most Laundry
Okay internet community, Amazon, other distributors and hopefully the owners of Puracy, we need to have a serious chat about this product. Not only how ineffective it is as a tough (set-in, sport et. al.) yet alone a general day-to-day stain remover, but how its damaged an unacceptable amount of my clothing, linens and other washable items. Now bad reviews just aren't my style unless I see issues as a "we' not just "me" situation. I'm not a laundry rookie either. As a stylist and shop owner I mostly collect, restore, preserve and resell clothing and textiles - so I rely on and pay through the nose for excellent products to simply get the job done. Also as a fellow being just looking to wash my laundry right it would likely be just as devastating for most of my laundry to come out PERMANENTLY discolored from this product causing dyes in the fabrics to bleed onto/set-in one another either way. I'm also the type of consumer who does their homework before paying for expensive cleaners and I bought into the hype on this product big time - so much so that even after I used up the first bottle entirely on a round of 5 loads of laundry 75% of which came out discolored, still stained and simply not cleaned, I chalked up the problems to my own possible human error and even my washing machine - despite that I had followed the directions/suggestions they provide meticulously and ordered the huge refill to give Puracy another go/ultimately experiment to understand what went wrong. Little to no effectiveness and lots of permanently discolored expensive/irreplaceable couture/collectables and plain great clothing/textiles I ADORED later, I have to be straight with all of you and say I'm devastated. A refund doesn't help much here, especially with the extent of my losses. But most importantly I feel compelled to share my experience because of the earnest chance I gave this hyped up product, even going as far to re-buy and take a disproportionate amount of my time/effort to give this product a fair-shot when it was useless and damaging the first time around. Please note a few of the NEW permanent stains I snapped from a couple of my lights which have both been previously washed/pre-treated/ruined, as well as what a tub full of strictly washable black laundry looks like after being treated with Puracy 5-days ago and being thoroughly hand-rinsed individually 3x over a day. There's a ton more to show and now on top of this product ruining my things, I have the enormous task of going through every single thing I've washed over the last month, quarantining each piece and literally rinsing every one of them individually - over and over again until there is zero product/loose dye still on there. It's nothing short of a nightmare folks. Most of them cannot be salvaged but considering I absolutely can't part with majority of my stuff, I have to tackle this loss head-on to at the very least make sure these Puracy induced dye bombs won't damage anything else! Take my advice as a lifelong garment/textile aficionado from a long line of aficiandos and friend who also thought I was finding the best product for my needs - DON'T RISK IT & BUY INTO ALL THIS HYPE! It'd be one thing if it actually worked but it didn't, like at all for anything/ by any measure and not only destroyed my things but actually made my detergent, washer and even myself less effective overall. I am immovable in my stance - I tried almost everything: Different water temperatures, pre-treating durations, noting variations between colors and fibers/ isolating loads according to both - it all resulted the same way, very badly. My stuff is not only a horrific shell of its former selves not only because the stains I purchased Puracy to tackle are still very much present but because of the new huge dye stains which after a week of driving myself crazy trying to remove are apparently going to remain eyesores no matter what I do/try. These cleaning brands need to be more transparent about these issues as I realized I'm not the only reviewer whose commenting about discoloration, and for Puracy's own sake I hope something can be done to prevent this from happening to other consumers because its not ok. To be perfectly clear, I got a brand new, fresh bottle and refill pouch direct from the brand HQ in Texas, there's nothing weird that's happened or happening here, just a mindful consumer who took precautions, placed my faith in this insanely over-hyped seemingly benign product and got seriously burned for doing so. Stay aware my friends. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone for any reason.
