I wrote an initial review when I first bought this couch several months ago before it broke. I bought this futon for a sunroom with a record player and an additional hang-out off of my living room. My intention was to also have a place for anyone to sleep if they needed somewhere to crash while in town/too drunk to drive situations. I was prematurely positive in my first review to say the least. I had friends over and one friend sat on the end opposite the chaise, and he probably weighs 215lbs. The inside plank that makes up part of the frame snapped and he was mortified. All he did was sit down like a normal human being. Now that area has a distinct crater where the frame is broken and it is no longer usable on that side. I could tear into the bottom and replace the wood but then I’d probably need to replace all the wood which is pointless and I should just build my own futon in that case. So for a futon clearly designed to sit multiple people weighing more than 200lbs, this is not the product for you or anyone ever. This company should be reprimanded and even banned from selling this worthless furniture on Amazon. It’s false advertisement in the clearest sense. Save your hard-earned cash! A waste of money, time and now a trip to the dump!
