UPDATE: I AM MAD AT CUISINART AND AMAZON.COM
Between February of 2009 and June of 2019 bought 7 CuisinArt hand mixers. And at various intervals, every single one of them just stopped working. Out of
the blue. The last one lasted 9 months. You're probably asking yourself why I kept on buying them. 2 reasons: first, I can't find any other mixer with the same
power as Cuisinart. And second: I kept telling myself there must have been some obscure problem with the ones before, which by now will have been fixed
and the next one will work perfectly. And I will finally be happy. But hat has not been the case.
Number 7 has stopped working after just nine months and I don't have a hand mixer. If I want beat some eggs, I have to haul out my heavy stand mixer,
I am angry at Cusinart and at Amazon.com. They know exactly what the are putting on the market and yet they continue to do it. I think between the 2 of
them I am owed a hand mixer that actually works and will continue to do so for years to come. Anybody want to make a bet?
There was a time when such shoddy workmanship and zero dealer reliability was unheard of, but no more.
I think that is a shame.
UPDATE 10/23/21: I finally got Cuisinart to send me another mixer and guess what...it lasted 7 months. That was Cuisinart mixer number 8. I'm no dummy: Fool me once. shame on you. Fool me 8 times, shame on me. I won't buy another Cuisinart appliance of any kind.
I seems to me that there is a fortune to be made by any company that wants it. All they have to do is manufacture appliances that perform well and don't have a built in kill date. Do that and the market is yours.
