★★☆☆☆
Poor value for money, not 100% down, I would treat other reviews with skepticism...
Bought three different pillows at the same time and am trying them all. I take my sleep seriously...
1) European 800 Fill Power 100% White Good Down ($140/ PER PILLOW)
2) Royal Hotel's Down Pillow - 500 Thread Count 100% Cotton, Down, King Size, Firm, Set of 2 ($85/ PER PILLOW)
3) IKEA JORDRÖK Firm ($15/ PER PILLOW)
The pillow in this review is the East Coast Bedding 800 Fill Power and 100% White Goose Down. Items to note:
1) The pillow is described as 100% down and labeled as 90% white goose down - descriptions which don't match labeling are a bad sign.
2) This pillow doesn't feel like is has the fill of other down pillows, which are over stuffed initially and then 'settle'. The pillow comes with an already soft, broken in feel, though with decent support.
3) The fill actually feels like a synthetic fill, better than a synthetic fill, but more like a synthetic than down.
4) The outer cover is not great quality. Not terrible, but not $140 quality.
4) The price is outrageous. I wanted to try it and got sucked in by the reviews, but the truth is I find it to be the worst of the three listed above, which includes a $15 IKEA pillow (albeit be accompanied by a good pillow cover and case).
Due to the exceedingly poor value proposition and the mislabeling, I could only give it two stars and will probably return it. Lastly, something about many of these reviews from team of 'pillow experts' seems quite disingenuous.
