You have to keep turning it on even after plugging a phone into it. I have 3 other power banks that turn on right when i plug my phone in. Not this junk. It will charge for a minute, then go to sleep and stop charging my phone. It was the only power bank i brought on a trip this past weekend and it screwed me up pretty badly. stay away from this
