I received a shipment of 2 Justrite 7250130 gas cans, one of them has a broken off fill cap lever which I found at the botton of the undamaged shipping carton and the fill cap was displaced. I am glad of this because it allowed me to notice the construction of this part. The lever is made of some sort of non ferrous cast white metal and and broke at a very thin cross section at the point where it has a hole that is used to lift the fill cap. If hit, this piece can easily break at that point as CAST white metal is very brittle, especially in cold weather, If this happens there is nothing to hold the fill cap in place which could be disastrous if the can is being transported in a vehicle. this is ironic for an expensive safety product, and very disapointing for a product made in the USA. Needless to say I have returned the cans for a refund. I give this product NO Stars. I have no product agenda and do not compare this product to any other.
