I was on the fence for awhile between this kettle, the Breville Temp Select or a Zojirushi Water Heater/Dispenser. I was previously using a stainless stove top kettle, which made it a bit tricky at times, to get the water to the right temperature for the tea I was brewing. I decided on this one because it does everything I want it to do; boils water quickly and provides various water temperatures for different varieties of tea. It was also at a reasonable price point. I brew whole leaf tea and this makes brewing a fresh cup an absolute breeze! Easy to use, aesthetically pleasing and so far, nothing I would change! Update 4/29/11 Purchased this Kettle in 10/10 It is now going to hit the trash. It no longer heats up at all and I contacted Cuisinart. They will send me a new unit if I pay shipping both ways, no way! Not heavily used at all and very disappointed! Thankfully, I have a traditional stove top kettle to use in it's place. Everything made today seems to be so disposable and not made to last.....sad!
