Looks Like a Dream, Pushes Like a Nightmare
I never, ever write reviews but I logged on especially to write one for this stroller because I hate it with the fire of a thousand suns. I agonized for months over which stroller to buy and did a ridiculous amount of research -- I landed on the Cruz, and while the price was not exactly my favorite, I justified it by assuming it would be so high quality that I'd surely be getting what I paid for.
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
This stroller looks absolutely beautiful, don't get me wrong, and the large storage basket is absolutely great, but that's where the love affair ends for me because this is the SHAKIEST, BUMPIEST stroller I've ever had the displeasure of pushing. Like, seriously, I opted for my second-hand $50 Chicco caddy 9 times out of 10 because that at least felt sturdier and smoother than this stroller and I didn't have to worry that my poor newborn's head was going to be shaking all over the place on even the smoothest terrain. (I pushed this on regular sidewalks for the most part, though even in stores with smooth concrete floors, there was literally no reduction in the shaking.)
To be fair, Uppababy customer service was pretty decent when I complained about this -- they sent me a few different sets of wheels (after asking for a video of the problem and then admitting that the current wheels "weren't up to Uppababy standards") and even a new frame, but absolutely nothing worked to stop the shaking, so I eventually returned the stroller for a refund. But I was incredibly disappointed after all the research I'd done, all the money I'd spent, and all the hassle I'd gone through with customer service while rocking a newborn baby. So beware! I thought this was my dream stroller but I couldn't have been more disappointed.
