I purchased this as a workout aid for my gymnast daughter. The bar is dangerous. I installed the bar in a doorway exactly as directed and it was solid enough to easily hold my weight (210 lbs.) at installation. The problem is that the bar rolls with use, and the roll can be counter to the tightening (expanding) direction, so it loosens (contracts) and pops out of the socket. The plastic end pieces are not sufficiently deep so once the bars rolls and it is just a bit loose, it easily pops out. This problem is discussed in q&a #1, but is. largely dismissed. The answers suggest you to turn around or reverse your grip . The locking nuts do not prevent rolling when tightened. My 100 lb. daughter had a nasty fall landing on her head and back. The first one star review also describes a severe fall for the same reasons, and a more serious injury. Beware of this product.
