Bought open box from Amazon warehouse in November with the description, "like new, product will be in original packing, box is damaged". Came with all the plastic on it, filters still in bags. Initial setup was great, and it ran fine for about six months. Then one day my girlfriend and I were cooking dinner and a horrible noise came from the bedroom. At first it sounded like the cat knocked a bunch of CDs off of something but it kept going. We ran into the bedroom and it was shooting plastic shrapnel everywhere from the squirrelcage fan that was in the process of disintegrating. I shielded my face with a coat and dove into the room and yanked the cord. Took it apart to see what the hell happened and document the damage (it's really well put together, actually - six screws and two plugs). Took pics and called/emailed coway. They said they don't sell replacement parts and no RMA because it was used and because I took it apart. So I said that's too bad, and I won't be able to recommend this product or justify buying another one from them.
