MOLD, MOLD EVERYWHERE!
We liked this machine at first but it slowly got more frustrating to use. The first week home our baby would cry, a lot. I thought it may be reflux. One afternoon I made a bottle by hand because the Brezza was heating the water I had just put in it. I noticed that the formula was much darker. The formula was being watered down! We changed the blades and tinkered with it forever but could never get a good consistency.
Also, the water from the spout splashes up adding moisture to the formula container. This leads to hard, crusty clumps of formula in the spout. This bothers me because that means when the formula container is full it is being exposed to moisture, constantly.
Finally we decided to use it simply to heat water. So we made bottle without putting formula in the top. We used it like this for about a month. I took the formula container off to clean the spout and other pieces when I found black mold growing inside the lid! MOLD. In the place that heats the water for my babies food! Who in their right mind sells a product that 1) underfeeds babies at a critical stage of development, and 2) exposes them to MOLD!
UPDATE:
We have been using the machine for water only. My LO has been refusing bottles so I washed the resivior but it persisted so I took the bottom and. There was mold all through the tubing!
I contacted customer support. Still waiting for a response. I can't believe the FDA hasn't pulled this from the market. I have seen tons of complaints since finding the mold and researching.
