I purchased these last year and everyone (including me) thought these were a great idea. I planned to use them in my preschooler's and toddler's lunches when they bring things like hard boiled eggs and yogurt and stuff to school. Well, these looked like the perfect alternative to freezer packs with their compact size. I carefully cut them into the sizes I needed and used them for a few weeks, but then stopped altogether for the following reasons: 1) They really only stay cold for an hour or two. 2) After a few uses, they start leaking. I would say at this point between 15-20% of them are completely empty... and, like I said, I really only "used" them for a few weeks. I was going to throw them away a few months ago, but my husband said to keep them just in case. Things I WOULD use them for: 1)A cold pack for a boo-boo 2) To wrap around an awkward shaped item that needed to stay cold in transport. Like, say, a bottle of wine. Otherwise, I couldn't vouch for these as being useful OR worth their cost.
