I don't know where to begin. I made it 5 minutes into the show and could not force myself to watch any more of it. RJ spent 3 years building this world before he started writing. He built logic tables to ensure continuity and realism for every nation and group of people. The ETHNIC and CULTURAL distinctions of each region and people are the framework that made this series so deep and so amazing. The isolated and "inbred" nature of the Two Rivers is central to many parts of the larger narrative. - Racebending destroys this. Rand is visibly different from his neighbors, his father, and anyone outside of the Wastes. - Racebending destroys this. Let's not even get started on the GENDERBENDING. There is an entire subplot with two of the Forsaken which shows that one's soul is either Saidin or Saidar, regardless of your body. Making Eggy one of the Taveren, robs her of a truly amazing character arc. The made this series because the books were amazing. It takes a lot of arrogance to try and fix what isn't broken, especially when it shows how poorly you understand the source material.
