I am a classroom teacher; my students are very responsible, but my pencil sharpeners do get consistent, daily use. This sharpener started out really great and sharpened pencils really well for the first few weeks. After that, it wouldn't produce that beautiful, sharp point anymore. After about a month, the flap that opens to let the shaving out broke off, and after a few more weeks, the green part on the inside with the blade came detached from the rest of the blue casing. I had been really excited about these when I first tried one, but they are not durable. I have found the Staedtler Manual Sharpeners for $2.99 to be much more durable. They don't look snazzy, but the blue & teal ones are pretty; I've had them for a few months now and they're still producing that nice, sharp point.
