I will do a pre-emptive strike for those who may not have seen all the disappointed reviews of season 1 or may use this as a basis for reading the excellent books that portray the "real" Jack Ryan and all the other characters so badly done in this in name only series. First except for the character names NONE of the storylines or character backgrounds and personalities even come close to those in the books and on film simply watch any Harrison Ford version or even The hunt for red October. I do not recommend ben Affleck as they hacked his version up as well. On the bright side season one is actually a pretty good watch if you ignore the idea that the characters have anything to do with Clancy or follows any cannon. They should have just named it something else and called the main character john smith.
