My wife and I tried watching this together. I thought it might be a good introduction to the Stargate Universe and maybe we could end up having a series to watch together. My mistake was not previewing this ahead of time. I doubt she will ever trust my show choice again. I usually really like a good B-movie. This was nothing like a good B-movie. It was like having a bunch of stage actors trying to perform a Stargate story and filming them on their first rehearsal The fighting is slow, terribly choreographed, and forced. The lines are halting and unconvincing. It is neither funny nor does it come anywhere close to doing justice to the Stargate Universe. Good points - um... they got the voice of the "God" down pretty well. Cons - ... can I just say everything else? What is worse is that I actually paid to torture myself with this. The final straw was when two of our heroes are..."fighting" one very slow (even crawls like a snail toward her weapon at one point) warrior who does not know how to use her weapon and they are losing because they fall over each other like a slapstick comedy. I had to stop. I just could not go on any longer.
