Don't waste your time.
This was a waste of time. I have a 54 inch doorway that I needed a gate for. The spindle rods didn't reach far enough with one panel. I tried adding another panel but this that made the gate too wide. It seems like they need to go back and redisign the gate to fit all lengths up to 58 inches.
