The coating does it's job but this is the thinnest pan I own. On the bottom where they show the silver finish, that is where they actually machined off more material from an already very thin pan. Usually pans are thicker on the bottom. It is unfortunate they didn't make it a little thicker material. The frying pan warped on the first use. They are much smaller than I thought they would be. I am going to keep it for cooking for just the 2 of us but can't cook more than 4 eggs at a time. Bottom line: THIS IS NOT A $100 SET OF PANS, NO WAY. Everything including the utensils looks like a set from the dollar store.
