I am totally shocked this item got such high reviews.
I guess I'm a gluton for punishment because I bought a second Rowenta steamer after my first one (professional grade at over $300.00) lasted only two years then died. I figured I'd try a cheaper, less expensive version so I won't be so mad when it dies, too. I usually TRY to find SOMETHING nice to say about any item, but this is a joke and the worst design I've ever seen.
Whoever designed this must be four feet tall and has no concept of how to use a garment steamer. I'm 5 ft 3 and I have to bend over to steam anything to the bottom, or pull it so far out, I'm in the next town. The hanger is totally useless and what exactly are those clips for? Really? They don't hold anything and all they do is slide around when you clip something to them. The hose is so short that it barely reaches the top of anything you hang on the hanger. So, you want to steam pants do you? Well, there is ONE nice thing - since the hanger that comes with it is useless, the genius designer at least gave you a place to hang your OWN hanger. Of course, this now makes it 6-8" lower, and there you are bending down again to steam to the bottom.
If I could have afforded a Jiffy I would have given that a try rather than get Rowenta again. Trust me - when this one dies (and it will) - there WON'T be a THIRD Rowenta. Rowenta folks - feel free to contact me regarding these issues. I'll gladly provide video evidence.
SUMMARY:
Cons: Clips are useless. Hose too short. Center pole too short. Not on casters so rolling is not easy.
Pros: It produces steam. I found the power cord long enough for me, although other reviewers were not pleased with this.
