A couple stars for these because they seem to be fairly durable in my own experience; not that they've been subjected to much, but they haven't fallen apart as some reviewers have had happen. Certainly, it's true that they aren't soft, and do not become soft. What I can also confirm is that the sheets and pillowcases shrink until they are unusable. No exaggeration, the amount of shrinkage is baffling and borderline comical. Pillows spill out of now square pillowcases, top sheet just barely covers the top of the mattress and the fitted sheet requires superhuman strength and the will of the possessed to squeeze over the poor, tortured thing. Disappointing purchase.
