Purchased this topper after reading the many wonderful reviews on this website. It arrived yesterday. I opened it up and placed it on the floor so it could "come to size" and air out. The directions said it only needed 30 minutes but I was going to let it rest a full night before putting it on my bed to make sure there were no chemical smells. A few hours after I opened it, I was admiring my new purchase and I noticed there were holes in the topper (small and pin-like) I also noticed a small tear in it as well (though I wasn't too concerned about that) The holes were curious though because there didn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to them. Why were there holes? I checked online and sure enough someone else also had holes in their topper and in the holes were.... BEDBUGS!!!!!!! I ran upstairs to inspect my topper/make sure there were no bugs... well.... guess what??? I had bugs..... tiny, flat, round bugs with tiny legs that I could only see when I stacked two pairs of eyeglasses to look at them. In total I found 5 of these non-moving gross bugs. Took the topper back outside, put it in a hefty bag, tied it tight and then proceeded to vacuum the hell out of my house (the rooms it had been through and the one it was in) I have wall to wall plush carpeting and so god only knows how many tiny bugs could have fallen out/scattered and are now hiding in my house. I now need to get traps to see if I have bed bugs and if I do, I will need to hire an exterminator to the tune of $2000. I'm disgusted! Now, the grossest part....??? Amazon is sending UPS to my house today to pick up this very damaged and disgusting topper - yea, the bugs are going for a ride. The topper will likely be repackaged and sent to someone else... It HORRIBLE. I'm sending it back only because I want my money back (and I wish I never ordered it) but I can't believe they are taking it back. This thing should be in the trash and marked "danger/bedbugs" DON'T BUY THIS.... buyer beware!!!!! I've been on amazon for many years - I buy a lot here... I have never left a negative review ever! But based on this experience I would not advise buying a bed product from amazon. I can't believe they would take back an item with bed bugs!!!!!!
