★★☆☆☆
Released too early and with too many vital flaws
I really wanted to like this product - the supposed integration into the app with their tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), music player and backup camera was very appealing. I really liked their TPMS but this "smart" vehicle health monitor may be smart, but the lack of software support really kills it.
Pros:
Sleek and small size
Shows you a variety of gauges and parameters
Works well with the app and shows tire pressure if you have the TPMS
Cons:
Failed to read a CEL (check engine light) code. What's the point of this if it can't read an engine code that the $12 bluetooth readers can do?
Used to be able to see battery voltage but they purposely took that away so that you have to buy their charger.
Does not track MPG - their representative said that this coming. When? No idea.
Realistically, if you use an Android phone, grab any of the OBDII readers off of Amazon for $15-20 and the Torque Pro app for $5. You will get more functions, reliable CEL readings, and MPG estimates. With the Torque Pro app, you will have to set everything up the first time but once setup, it is better than this thing at 1/2 the price!
