I bought this bag, as I imagine most people did, due to the seemingly good construction, nice aesthetic, and good price. I ordered last week and took this bag on a weekend trip, thinking I looked much fancier with my new bag. However, as soon as I got off the bus at the airport, I noticed an issue much worse than even the bag breaking--it had stained the pants I was wearing simply from rubbing against them, a photo of these pants (the lighter ones) is included for reference. As you can see, this horrendous stain was painfully apparent, and I immediately had to rush into the restroom to change--thankfully I had another pair of pants I'd planned on wearing to the wedding I would be attending. Once changed, I continued to carry the bag now only by the small handles, rather than using the shoulder strap. I hoped that this would fix the problem, however I was yet again wrong. Once I sat on the plane, I noticed that even when the bag briefly touched my second pair of pants (the grey pants pictured), it also left stains on my new pants. Thankfully these pants weren't as badly affected, as I had to now wear these semi-stained pants to both a rehearsal dinner, as well as a wedding. As you can see in the picture of th ebag, the color of the straps is very dark, and I imagine not conditioned at all. As a result, any time these leather pieces come in contact, there is a color transfer. I would not recommend this bag at all. The seemingly "cool" bag I purchased quickly turned into a liability. Due to time constraints, I immediately headed to Nordstrom and purchased a bag by Herschel, and have not looked back since. The duffel I bought for $85 is lightyears ahead of this bag, purchased for $50. Definitely think twice before buying this bag, and be prepared to immediately return it when you are dissatisfied.
