Do not buy!
I have a 27" iMac, an iPad Air, and iPhone 6S. I purchased this HP All-in-One to replace a nine or ten year old HP Photosmart 8450 that had become unreliable and "ate" new ink cartridges after only a few copies and a Canon scanner of similar age. I decided I wanted a machine with wireless capacity so I could print from my mobile devices. I looked at specs and reviews of dozens of machines by several manufacturers, looking mainly for print, scan and copy functions and a machine that did not stop printing when one ink cartridge needed replacing. Since I send out photo printing when professional quality prints are needed, I wanted fewer ink cartridges, rather than more this time around. Then, after all that research, I foolishly purchased this oversized doorstop. I spent five hours today setting the machine up. I followed all the steps in the printed material, the machine display window, and the HP website and managed to print one page before the machine ceased communicating with my iMac. So, I reinstalled everything and discovered the automated steps on the HP website were different the second time through - there were more hoops to jump through, but the computer and printer now wirelessly communicate, although not without glitches. Several times, I have had to turn off both my WiFi and printer and then restart them in order to reestablish connection. The iPad connection has been a disaster. I read online help documents and FAQs and watched set up videos over and over. The screens HP used in its instructional materials did not match what appeared on my device. Additionally, HP blithely proclaimed printing using an Apple mobile device required no additional downloads. Wrong. I discovered by searching the Apple app store that I needed a free HP ePrint app. Now, I can print emails and photos (I assume - haven't tried photos) from my iPad, but I have to manually enter my printer's special email address every time as the wireless linkage information is not retained. I have not figured out how to print Pages documents, despite repeated tries. I do not recommend this product. If it weren't such a hassle to do so, I'd pack it up and send it back. But to save further wasted time, I'm just writing off the $99 as the price of learning to never buy another
