I had a song sparrow get its beak stuck in the feeder on a small metal clip just inside one of the bottom hoppers. Had to wire cut the outside piece off, drill a hole in the plastic tube, and use forceps to gently pull the clip away so the bird could be freed. It is a design flaw that such an exposed clip could trap a bird beak.
