Hose broke after a few short years. I would not purchase this again Original review below ========== As a pet owner, i have owned my share of pet cleaning machines that take care of stains. It took a lot of detergent, and in the end, became so clogged with dirt that it stopped working. I had to find something better -- especially since I just introduced a new puppy into my home. This Bissell 3624 SpotClean Pro seemed to get very good reviews. I decided to give it a try. What I like about this machine over the one I referenced above, is that it's much more powerful. Additionally, it holds more water to do big jobs and it uses far less detergent. In fact, i believe you only need to add 2 ounces of detergent to a full tank. Out of the box, I had it running within 5 minutes. All you do is fill one of the tanks with hot water up to the indicated line. You then add detergent. You place the tank back on the Bissell machine. You select one of two sized brushes (I went with the larger one), and you turn on the machine. Find the dirty spot you want to work on. Wave the brush over the spot while pressing the lever on the bottom handle. A stream of detergent and water will spray over the spot. You simply, and slowly, brush over the wet spot. You will see the Bissell SpotClean suck in the dirty water and deposit it in the secondary tank. You will be amazed at how much you can do with a single tank of water. In the end, you simply disengage the dirty tank of water and dump it in the sink. Here's a big tip for you.... Don't buy the detergent bundle. There's better detergent that you can use for your pet problems. So far, I am very happy with the SpotClean. Despite some reviewers saying you could do better without it, I highly disagree. It really took care of some tough urine stains on my rug. Where there were several scattered yellow patches, now there are none. Take my word for it, this machine does an excellent job. And noisy? Not much noisier than your vacuum cleaner. I was kind of surprised to read some reviews where people complained about the noise. What did you expect from a product like this? I really think you will be happy with the performance of the SpotClean. If it's able to completely eliminate urine stains left on a carpet for days (sometimes you don't catch it right away), then you imagine how well it works for just about everything else. By the way, it has a great design for storage. The hose wraps around the side and then locks into place. There is a carrying handle on top that makes it super easy to carry it around. I highly, highly recommend this cleaner.
