Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I really wanted to like this. I was looking for something small, thought it was a cute design, not to mention the extra oils were a big plus. I always check the reviews first, and since it had 4 1/2 stars and most of the reviews I was seeing were positive, I jumped on it. Unfortunately, I didn't dig deep enough. Listen too the negative reviews on this one, I wish I had checked before it shipped. Like many others have said, it was messed up straight out of the box. Read the instructions first since I was weary, set it up step by step, and it died after just 5 minutes. I tried again, and this time it could barely produce mist, and died again at 5 minutes even on the 3 hour setting. Followed the troubleshooting guide with no luck. Along with that the top doesn't latch on in any way, it just sits on loosely. On the plus side, my bottles didnt arrive broken. However, I looked up the brand out of curiosity since I'm new to this, and there are many seemingly credible sources that say these oils failed a purity test (if you are going for the medicinal effects this matters). I would rather get a diffuser that is a little more expensive and one bottle of pure oil that I like, rather than a device that doesn't work and a bunch of synthetics. I would say I am dissapointed, but after reading so many reviews repeating the same thing, I was expecting it. I'm just suprised it has such a high rating.
