Everyone is always writing reviews 1 or 2 months in, well how about an 18 month review? Okay let's be fair I will say this has been a fantastic charger and I agree with all the other five star reviewers up until last night when the charger caught fire in bed destroying 1 $40 memory foam pillow and burning holes through 3 thick blankets 1 mattress cover and sadly the actual $150 memory foam mattress so now we are at nearly $300 in damage to replace burnt items. I know its not the best idea to use a phone charger in bed but I have been doing this forever and I'm sure plenty of other people have too, and usually when a charging cord is no longer working it simply will not charge anymore. Unlike this unique cable decided to literally go up in smoke potentially causing a serious fire as well as risk of burn injuries. And let's not forget to mention thank God it wasn't actually plugged into the phone if not it would have also destroyed the phone. And again it is advised to not have it plugged in when not in use but who in the world actually disconnects and plugs their phone charger back in every time they use it? This is the first time this situation has ever occurred using an aftermarket charging cable and there were no signs of damage to the cable prior to this event. Hopefully they take their testing more seriously now as I would not wish this ever happened to anyone.
