The idea is a good one, but it does not fulfill the promises of the product description. Using on an iPhone 7Plus running latest iOS (11.4). The phone recognized the drive and promoted download of the app. App runs, drive recognized. It’s the actual backing up of my photos (which is why I bought this) where the unit fails miserably. The full backup acted like it was happening, but had copied no photos after it said it was complete. Ran it again, copying 756 photos. 20 minutes pass of leaving the app active (can’t leave the app...if you do it pops up a notification reminding you to return to the app so it can run the backup) still no progress. So I tried to just download 2. It took almost 3 minites, but it downloaded 2. At this point I removed the unit, reatarted my phone and tried again. No difference. It is faster to turn on my computer and back up my photos there than it is to use this unit. I’m going to surf Sandisk support to see if I find any options, but likely Inwill return this for refund. Disappointed also because I have always liked Sandisk SD cards and flash drives; they failed on this product though.
